The Word went up last Monday and I’ve been getting some wonderful comments and emails from many people in our little (but actually big) community. I’ve gotten a couple of emails from alumni who worked at WYSO, or other people who have fond memories of it from the past. Thank you, everyone, who has been so supportive and excited about this new project.
The next episode will be coming out September 5th and will feature stories from the last round of co-ops my fellow students just returned from. For those of you who don’t know, co-ops, or cooperative education, is a major part of the Antioch pedagogy. Every year Antioch Students are unleashed into the wild, wonderful world, and placed in jobs all over the country and the world. We are expected to hold down a full time, (usually) paid internship or job in a field that is somehow experience enriching. The class of 2015 is getting ready for its third co-op, and my next one will begin in January, after the new year.
For Episode II of the Antioch Word I’m collecting a few stories from Antioch students from their last co-ops. I’ve already collected two, and they are really sweet and so genuinely and nicely told. I can’t wait to share them with you.
